Hawaii 2023

This was our third time in four years going to Ko'Olina, on the west side of Oahu. It's the sort of place you don't mind going every year, or as much as humanly possible. This trip we mostly stayed at the resort, relaxing and enjoying the pool, beach, and activities.

Relaxing in Ko'Olina

  • Our first day and night were spent at Aulani. Kids love the lazy river, and Alex swam with the tropical fish.
  • Melanie and Tanja etched glass with island-themed designs.
  • Our required pilgrimmage to the huli huli chicken stand in Haleiwa.
  • Morning walks along the lagoons.
  • Lots of doing nothing!
  • And once again, we did not get up early enough to walk up Diamond Head. Next time...

Aulani is crowded, but pretty at night.

I doubt I was thinking about work.

It's impossible to get a good family photo.

Can't keep Mel out of the water.

Mel could stay in the water all day and well into the night.

A rare Alex sighting!

I could live here.
